According to investigators, the suspect vehicle is a blue, two-door 2010 Honda Civic with Virginia license plate: TWW 9398.

The incident began at approximately 4:50 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 25, when state police were notified by a motorist advising that his vehicle was shot by the driver of a blue Honda as they were both traveling north on I-495 near Exit 52B for Route 236/Little River Turnpike East in Fairfax County.

While the two were traveling, police said that the Civic took the exit and stopped on the shoulder of the road, with the second vehicle stopping behind it.

It is alleged that the driver of the Honda then stepped out of his vehicle and fired several more rounds at his victim before speeding away in the Civic.

Neither the driver nor his vehicle was struck during the latter incident, police noted.

The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
